PERUGIA - The capital of the Province and the Region, it is very important due to its extraordinary abundance in terms of its artistic and cultural heritage and as a tourist attraction of considerable interest. The noble Palazzo dei Priori, the Palazzo Vescovile and dei Notari as well as the Cathedral of Saint Lorenzo and the central Fontana Maggiore are situated in the splendid Piazza IV Novembre, where the historical heart of the town, the famous Corso Vannucci, winds from. Many events are held here: Umbria Jazz (in July); the Umbrian Festival of Sacred Music (in September); the Feast of the Dead (in November) and Rock in Umbria (in June).

ASSISI - It lies on the slopes of mount Subasio in a commanding position: it is definitely the most inspiring and spiritual town in Umbria. Important religious and cult places frame its historical streets and squares. As the birthplace of Saint Francis, it is rich in renowned place such as the imposing Basilica dedicated to the "Poor Friar from Assisi" with the splendid frescoes painted by Giotto, Saint Claus, Saint Rufino and the Eremo delle Carceri, S.M. degli Angeli, on the plains, which houses the "Porziuncola", completes the serene tranquillity of the town. An important and spectacular event is "Calendimaggio", a historical evocation of medieval life which brings the town back to ancient splendour through costumes and settings.
